New Birth



Baptized into God's Family
In the Name of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit

"Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come:

The old has gone, the new is here!" (2 Corinthians 5:17).

Of all the images of God's creation, none is more beautiful than that of the new creation in Christ Jesus.  The birth of a baby is a miracle.  The new birth through water and the Word is even more glorious! 

God created the heavens and the earth and everything in them.  Then sin entered the world and, through sin, death.  But Christ loved the world and gave His life for the salvation of all people. 

We look all around us and see the glory of God revealed in the beauty of His creation.  We look to Christ and see the mercy of God revealed in His Son.  Anyone who is baptized into Christ is a new creation with the promise of eternal life. 

"But when the kindness and love of God our Savior appeared, he saved us, not because of righteous things we had done, but because of his mercy. He saved us through the washing of rebirth and renewal by the Holy Spirit, whom he poured out on us generously through Jesus Christ our Savior, so that, having been justified by his grace, we might become heirs having the hope of eternal life" (Titus 3:4-7).
